Wallcreepers were a major highlight in Georgia and Armenia
We have been very busy running our Birdwatching Trips Tours. In March we visited the beautiful North African country of Morocco and travelled from the High Atlas Mountains, through the Sahara Desert to the Atlantic Coast. What a varied and exciting trip with so many amazing birds. We even continued out into the Atlantic on a boat trip to see seabirds. In April we headed to Georgia and Armenia where the scenery was as spectacular as the birds. Armenia was a new country for us and we will be back – loved it. At the end of April we were back in Extremadura, Spain with Iolo Williams for another superb week of fantastic birds, delicious food and based in a stunning hotel – perfect. In May we ran two residential North Wales Tours – one for a group of Swiss birders and the other one of our very popular tours for two. At the end of May Finland and Arctic Norway for two weeks. We travelled from southern Finland north to Arctic Norway enjoying stunning owls, woodpeckers and grouse. Once in Norway we enjoyed glorious weather to match the birds – displaying male Ruff, breeding plumaged Bluethroats, confiding Red-necked Phalaropes and even enjoyed whale watching with humpback and minke whales just offshore. In June we ran a custom tour for four lovely folks in Dorset. We visited RSPB Arne, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and Durlston Country Park to enjoy a wide variety of birds including White-tailed Eagles, Honey Buzzard, Ospreys, Dartford Warblers, Wood Larks, Nightjars and more.
The second half of 2026 sees us visiting Bird Fair, at Rutland Water, do say hello if you are there, three North Wales tours with our great friend Iolo Williams, Shetland Isles to look for migrant birds, custom tour in North Wales, Yorkshire x 2, and Norfolk. We then head oversea again to visit Costa Rica and then Panama for bird overload. 2026 draws to a close with another Iolo Williams tour in December and a tour for two in Norfolk which has availability (everything else is fully booked sorry) so a busy end to the year!
However, we have managed to squeeze in some extra Birdwatching Trips Day Tours the dates are….
