Just finished our first of two back to back Extremadura Birdwatching Trips tours. Very pleased to report that it was a huge success with a fantastic variety of birds enjoyed in glorious weather with delicious food, stunning scenery and the best company. Huge thanks to Robin and Vivien, Don and Marg, Richard, and Gwennan for making it such a wonderful tour.
Just a few of the highlight birds included:
Great and Little Bustards, Pin-tailed and Black-bellied Sandgrouse, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Iberian Magpie, European Scops Owl, Spanish Imperial Eagle, Golden Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Bonelli's Eagle, Booted Eagle, Black-winged Kite, European Bee-eater, European Roller, Stone Curlew, Montagu's Harrier, Calandra Lark, Thekla's Lark, Greater Short-toed Lark, Alpine Swift, Red-rumped Swallow, Blue Rock Thrush, Rock Bunting, Short-toed Treecreeper, Squacco Heron, Collared Pratincole, Melodious Warbler, Savi's Warbler, Great Reed Warbler, Cinereous Vulture, Griffon Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Black Stork, White Stork, Little Bittern, Glossy Ibis, Purple Swamphen, Iberian Shrike, Woodchat Shrike, Nightingale, Ferruginous Duck, Western Orphean Warbler, Bearded Tit, Wood Sandpiper, Little Stint, Ruff and more.
